Thieves

For a couple of days, I was working etching for my project. This is my 'Thieves' for ZINE, collaborating work for selling in the degree show of MA Sequential Design / Illustration in University of Brighton.

The Big Bad Pig

‘The big bad pig’ is my first illustration dummy book. It was created in ‘the three little pigs’ project of ‘Visual narrative unit’. This idea was a twist on the big bad wolf, the original character of ‘the three little pigs’. It was selected as 'Highly Commanded' by Macmillan Prize 2012.

In this book, I used a strip of three frames on the page layout in order to unfold the story in a speedy manner. Moreover, as the informative device to navigate each situation, I established the map before such triptych panels. By adding a gate fold, I also attempted to generate curiosity and excitement of reader.

Finding Neverland - practices

While searching for the visual key of ‘Finding Neverland’, I experimented in various ways.

Finding Neverland - Poster

Two posters reflect the conceptual identity of the project ‘Finding Neverland’. I produced these facing each other, using the corner of the wall.

Finding Neverland

'Finding Neverland’ is a 32-page children’s picture book that explores the psychological depth to the Peter Pan story while employing the archetypical structure. It was my recent project for the degree show of MA illustration and Design at Brighton University. I made everything for this work from coming up with the idea ending in the bookbinding.
