Penguin competition 2012 - children's book cover 'Grimm's Fairy Tales'

This is my cover design for the competition. I came up with the idea of a proscenium in the theatre. I attempted to express the excitement and the anticipation through the point of view of child standing backstage. I chose ‘little red riding hood’, one of main characters in the tales, for the child character.
